Disability Coaching Session
In September 2009 the GNAS paralympic coaching team held a development weekend entitled "Pass-it-on" to refine a package that those attending could roll out in their individual regions.

CEDAK have put together a version of this which will be a whole day session for GNAS coaches in the SCAS region on working with disabled archers, complete with hands-on experience.

The first session was held at Northfleet on 23rd January 2010 and it is hoped further sessions will be presented in other parts of the region in due course.

The workshop will cover the differences and similarities between Olympic and paralympic archers and some of the equipment modifications that can be used to accommodate people with a wide range of physical disabilities. Also an introduction to visually impaired archery and the specialised equipment they use will be presented. Disabled archers will be shooting to illustrate various points and those attending will be encouraged to try out things for themselves.
